This is a project of a hair salon near Zushi station. Over the years, there have been so many hair salons all over Japan. And so, it is getting harder and harder for hair salons to be outstanding. What did we do? We have targeted at working women in their thirties and planned to create the space where they can forget their daily lives. We have made the space as if you were having a hair cut in a forest. The expression changes as the plants grow and different flowers are decorated depending on a season.
At nights, the lighting creates the moody atmosphere by lighting up the plants and showing beautiful shadows on the walls and ceiling.
We have also prepared original herbal teas and tried some new things with shop cards and uniforms that other salons normally don’t do. Only three customers could be welcomed daily, and the high-skilled salon owner does everything from the counselling to hair styling.
The natural drifted woods collected at the beach nearby and the swags are decorated on the wall to express “MANIERA”. We have also made the shop sign with natural moss on the wall.
We hope customers enjoy extraordinarily luxury experience to have a private hair cut in a forest like a princess.
