Japanese style coffee stand “BONGEN” is located at Ginza 2 cho-me. The owner chose this location with the aim of serving high quality coffee to workers. There are many offices but not so many cafes around this area, so we thought there should be a large number of hard working people who wish to have a nice cup of coffee. We have made the stand with the beautiful simplicity so that the customers can refresh their tired minds from work. We have managed to hide the kitchen equipments and unnecessary furniture, and instead, show the Japanese traditional designs vividly such as original plastered mud walls, “yakisugi”, and a coffered ceiling.The most eye catching point is the “bonsai”. We have the belief that “truly good quality things like bonsai will be always needed over hundreds of years”. That’s why we display the bonsai at the center of our shop. You can enjoy a high-quality cup of coffee as you see the interesting bonsai.
We also serve Japanese fast food, “Onigiri”, and they go with our coffee very well. When you want to take a break or want to fill your stomach, our coffees and “onigiri” are the great choice. We also have luxury items such as “Kopi Luwak” or “Panama Geisha” which is hard to find at other shops. All the coffee beans come directly from the factory in order to maintain the quality.
We have re-designed a coffee stand which has come from overseas as Japanese style. We are sure Japanese style coffee stand “BONGEN” can be enjoyed internationally.
